Leadertone of Shenzen is another Chinese company that will be making an appearence at the CES 2007 this year. Their hottest product is the GPS3000 - unless they’re getting ready to reveal something better - we’ll have to see. GPS3000 is a sharp looking device with multimedia capabilities in addition to giving you directions.

It has a 3.5″ touchscreen that can support 65K colors and supports SD/MMC cards so you can easily update/change your maps. You can expect about 4 hours of power from the 1200mAh battery and get voice directions from the integrated 1W speaker. If the onboard GPS chip isn’t satisfactory for you, you can choose to connect an external GPS receiver through the antenna port as well. But the -159dBM sensitivity should be good enough for most conditions.

Here is a breakdown of the media files it supports:

  • Video format: WMA, ASF, AVI
  • Audio format: WMA9, MP3, WAV
  • Photo browsing: JPG, GIF, BMP, PNG
  • Text reading: TXT
